Ticket #6788 - Order Confirmation Email - Unit price without Tax
In the email that the customer recevies, the tax is inculded in every single item as shown here:
http://i.imgur.com/Bpaf0I2.png
The way the shop is setup however (and even in the PDF invoice) the unit price has tax excluded:

How do I make it so the tax is removed and only shows up in the total price breakdown like on the invoice?
Thanks.

Hi Elissa,
1) From your screenshot I see that you use default PS email templates, not Alysum templates
This is PS template for order confirmation email http://c2n.me/3bkWNHT
This is Alysum template http://c2n.me/3bkWEtb
Since the problem appears in default templates then I suppose it’s Prestashop issue. Please try to find the solution at PS forum
Here’s what I have found so far https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/61088-mail-order-confirmation-without-tax/
Regards
Ah, I wasn’t aware I wasn’t using the Alysum ones; I’d like to try and swap to them, but I can’t readily find how to replace them.
In the translations part I can access the Alysum templates and edit them, however I don’t see where I can choose which one to be used.
Hi,
1) Try to copy this Mail.php file to your site folder your_site/override/classes/
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c9pzjk3px7vo6fj/Mail.php?dl=0
2) Clear the cache if you have it enabled
Not fixed.
Forgot to reply, but I did this and am still receiving the other type of mail.
Hi. What is the problem? Don’t you see our email templates?
See above, I answered while you sent the reply.
But I see our Alysum email templates http://c2n.me/3cIPYS8
What is the problem? Please describe
Order confirmations still come in like this:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5293944/conf.jpg
And I checked to see if Cache was enabled, and it’s not.
I can’t connect to your ftp
Please check this file \themes\alysum\mails\en\order_conf.html
copy all the code inside the file and pate here http://dabblet.com/ and check it’s Alysum template or not http://c2n.me/3cIXwrp
This is odd, I just noticed there are 2 folders with Alysum (one has a capitalized first letter):

The non capitalized one has the correct looking template, but not the other one, not sure how this happened.
This is the one that I’m referring to by the way:

Even in the translations menu the Alysum skin doesn’t appear.
Hi Elissa,
I still cannot connect to your FTP to check the issue.
I suppose you have 2 alysum folders because you made a copy of it or installed the theme twice.
Check if you have the same files in the folders \themes\alysum\mails\en\ and \themes\Alysum\mails\en\
Open the html files in browser and check if they are the same in both folders
Regards
I checked the FTP credentials and they’re fine, but just in case I created another user for you, so please take a look.
I went ahead and renamed the folder that was using capitals. The new_order emails still appear in the old format, is there a skin for it too? Because it’s not in that folder.
This is what shows up in the mails/en folder:

Thanks.
I just purchased some product in your shop and get correct email confirmation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ob6obnv1ul5dkg7/Screenshot%202015-03-05%2010.43.09.png?dl=0
I thought I mentioned this before, but it’s not the customer’s confirmation, it’s the admin’s confirmation, here’s what we received from your order:

Hello Ellissa.
Seems that confirmation email comes from some payment module. It’s not related to our email templates or theme.
Ah I see what you’re referring to - it’s from mail_alters though, which is from Prestashop too, but I see that it’s not part of the core set of mails.
I’ll modify it myself to match then if you don’t have anything for it.
I do notice that when I go into localization > translations it seems to recreate a new Alysum folder in FTP every time, so this time I renamed the lowercase one to Alysum to see if it would stop creating new folders.
Are you aware of any reason for it to keep creating folders like that? I already had to remove one in the past.
Actually never mind that, renaming it with a leading caps (Alysum) breaks the website.
Can you tell me why there’s an Alysum folder that pops up? And why there’s a separate alysum folder in themes? You can take a look in FTP.
I seems know why you always have one more folder “Alysum” it’s because theme name in back office is “Alysum” and not “alysum”. You can try to rename the theme in your back office.
