Ticket #10107 - 500 Error When Saving Address

I’ve been told to check with the theme provider but when going through the checkout process, after I enter the address regardless of which way around I go, whether that being loging in as an existing customer and adding address or a new sign up going through the checkout process, every time you get to the address section and click save, it just gives a 500 error.

I’ve tried everything under the sun but cant figure it out.

Really stretched for time so a prompt reply would be very much appreciated.

Hi. Please check the issue with the default PS theme. Here how to do that:

Back-office>Preferences>Themes>Adv Settings>Directory, default-bootstrap (you won’t loose any information by switching with such way)

No that didnt work im afraid. Still getting the 500 Error everytime i click continue to checkout from stage 3 (addresses) of the 5 stage process. If i continue to stage 4 it crashes. Seems its something to do with the address or shipping because even if i try and update an address in the customer account it crashes.

Try to disable all the shipping and payment modules and check the issue again. Paypal don’t forget to disable, sometimes our customers has problems with this module.

tried disabling the shipping and payment modules but nothing.

I have managed to fix the issue on being able to edit/save addresses. It was due to the module avatartax. The file that has given the error was the override file /httpdocs/override/controllers/front/AddressController.php. renaming the file meant it won`t get loaded anymore.

But still getting the 500 error when I click continue to checkout fronm step 3 to 4 in the checkout process

if that one has issues as its a zero balance (which seems to make paypal checkout not work.) try the below

I can refund the 10p if it does go through but I have just trued to checkout via paypal and paypal seems to open just fine but when it goes back to stage 4 on the shop, it just gives the error again.

I suppose it’s some module? “inpostshipping” If you need it apply to the module developers ;)

Ah great. Thank you for spotting that.

Its wierd, I uninstalled and deleted the module as I dont actually need it but still getting the issue :(

Its just getting on my nerves now! Even deleted the folder and still nothing.

Any chance you can advise on what I can do to get rid of the problem as I dont need the module?

Also here is a fatal error
Fatal error: Class ‘InPostParcelTools’ not found in /var/www/vhosts/dazzlingdustcollections.co.uk/httpdocs/override/controllers/front/OrderController.php on line 463

I removed that file and now the order process seems ok. Please check. ;)
