FS#10377 - Translation

Hi Marek,

Not sure you remember but a while ago you suggested I translated the template with poedit due to the error in accent marks that were showing up with error on my checkout page.

Ive already tryed that, I did the translation with poedit and besides that I changed everything to uft-8 and the problem is still showing up, again, only on my checkout page.

heres the route: public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages and public_html/en/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages

Can you help me out?

english version is at:

Spanish version: /wp-content/languages

Theres also a couple of other files PO and MO in english here:/en/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages

I mean you need to open en_EN.po file with your Poedit. Translate it and save as es_ES.po

Yes.. You may recall that the issue only appears on a couple of pages. On others the accent mark is working just fine. The pages that show the error are checkout and cart.

I just found a reason of all this issues with encoding.
Some files for some reason has wrong encoding, I just resaved necessary files in utf8 encoding, and that’s fixed the issue on checkout page.

I still have the same issue with the cart page: https://www.eldoradoart.com/cart/ when you click on the calculate the delivery button “calcula costo de envio” it shows the error.

also, could that change affect the “woocommerce giftwrapper” plugin i have? the space on the checkout page where the option went doesnt work anymore.

One other thing... sorry!

I was changing the titles of my checkout page correcting the accent marks but it worked on some files and others it didnt.

As you can see the file on the: /public_html/wp-content/themes/hoki/woocommerce/checkout/form-checkout.php still shows up the error.. Maybe the encoding like you said.

Sorry for writing so many comments instead of just one but while i was checking out the page i realized that the accent mark error is now on all my web page while before it only showed on the cart and checkout page.. what im guessing is that the wrong encoding is basically in all the template?

I can show you the trick how to fix the issue.
I suppose you already have installed Sublime Text, as I advice you before.
So open necessary file and click “Reopen with encoding UTF8” media.promokit.euscreenshotsscreencloudscreenshot20170504_192734.jpg

Then just save the file and update it on your server.

You can do it directly on the FTP folder. Filezilla ask you to update file once you will save it

Im really not getting it.. i tried it but wasn't able to do it.. Is it possible for you to undo whatever you did before. I prefer to have the error only show up on my checkout page then my entire store. Also wanted to ask you if we talk about customization and change the code for the whole template how much are we talking about?
