Ticket #10507 - HTTP Error 500 after switching to the installed theme

Hi, yesterday I bought the alysum theme for Prestashop 1.7 and I get the “HTTP Error 500” after installing it. When switching back to the standard theme it works again. Please help!

Thank you.

Hi David.
The best way to use the theme is install it on fresh Prestashop. There will be a conflict in case you will install it with previous Alysum version

David 27 Jun 2017, 14:13

Hi Marek, I downloaded and installed a fresh version of Prestashop yesterday and after that I followed the installation process for Alysum.
Everything looks OK in the BO but I can not access the theme in the browser.

Since this did not work, i removed all the files and did the installation process all over again, but still the same problem.

Can I see your installation here? www.dnyou.se/ps/Prestashop/admin807bhsbnu

David 27 Jun 2017, 14:21

That is correct :)

Marek 27 Jun 2017, 14:57

Do you know where can I find apache logs on your server?

David 27 Jun 2017, 19:54

I spoke with my hosting provider (one.com) and unfortunately it is not possible to access the logs. They told me to turn on PHP Error Messages in the control panel.

Marek 27 Jun 2017, 22:11

Ok, Could you please turn error messages on?

David 28 Jun 2017, 07:57

It’s on, did that yesterday.

Marek 28 Jun 2017, 11:11

But there are no any errors in frontpage http://dnyou.se/ps/Prestashop/

David 28 Jun 2017, 11:32

True, and I have no idea why there isn’t. It is turned on.

Marek 28 Jun 2017, 11:35

Let me look at your control panel, maybe I’ll see some important option

David 28 Jun 2017, 21:51

Ok, so I’ll just mail you the login?

Marek 28 Jun 2017, 21:57

Which email did you use? I don’t see any messages from you

David 28 Jun 2017, 21:58

Can I send it to marek@promokit.eu?

Marek 28 Jun 2017, 21:58

Yes, you can

David 28 Jun 2017, 22:09

You’ve got mail!

Marek 28 Jun 2017, 22:44

Yes, I see, but I’ll back to you tomorrow. today is too late

Marek 29 Jun 2017, 10:18

Hi David.
I didn’t find more options regarding displaying errors, but I found probable way to fix the issue. try to switch to PHP v.5.6 http://awesomescreenshot.com/08d6c01c2f

David 29 Jun 2017, 14:19

Hi again Marek,

It was PHP v.5.6 before I changed it to the later. None of them works. Any other options?

Marek 29 Jun 2017, 23:13

I think something wrong with cpanel. Could you please ask your hosting support to enable PHP Error Messages.

David 03 Jul 2017, 16:40

I’ve spoken to my hosting support. PHP error messages is enabled, just as it was before.

When I try to reach the url, I still get the error 500 and no clues on what’s wrong.

Marek 04 Jul 2017, 11:59

Hi David.
That’s really strange. I’m working to figure out what’s wrong

David 04 Jul 2017, 19:43

Solved it. I had to switch to a new hosting provider.

Marek 04 Jul 2017, 19:59

I think something wrong was with their server configuration. Can I close the ticket?

David 05 Jul 2017, 10:49

Please do.
