Ticket #10897 - Compatibility with PS 1.7.2.2

Hello Marek,

I recently tried to update my PS from 1.7.1.2 to 1.7.2.2 with 1-Click Upgrade.

The results on me homepage are in screenshot.
In short - total disaster. I’m now recovering from backup but the problem remains.

Is current version of Alysum compatible with latest Presta?

It could be of course the problem of 1-Click module. Although the systems tells me I have now the new version but, it kind of freezed on database update and I’m not sure if it managed to successfully update the core.

Best
Damiana

Hi Damian.
Alysum is compatible with latest prestashop.
I suppose you have to read carefully all options during upgrade. As I remember there is some option what disable all not native modules

Damian Lewandowicz 05 Oct 2017, 13:03

I took a glance at modules before my database recover and you were right… Shit, I now have to reupdate all over again.

How impossibly stupid it is with update to automatically turn off all not-native modules??? PS devs don’t mess around when it comes to piss people off…

I’ll get back to you with this.
Damian

Yes, I agree with you, that is stupid option

Damian Lewandowicz 05 Oct 2017, 17:41

It could be not exactly theme problem but after PS and theme update there is a problem between revslider and Visual Composer.

Before that there was no problem at all, but now - revslider disappears when VC is activated. Any tip on how to solve this before I go to VC support?

Marek 05 Oct 2017, 22:15

I need access to your BO to see modules confuguration

Damian Lewandowicz 06 Oct 2017, 12:57

I re-enabled your access, you should be able to look it up.

Please be advised that products are now being imported and will be till around 15:00.

If you would give me any clues on what’s going on, I will be grateful as VC support is very weird.

Damian

BTW: I can’t even disable the VC module now…

Damian Lewandowicz 06 Oct 2017, 13:50

And one more thing - I have updated the theme but don’t see Lookbook module installed…

Is there a way to tell if my update went all right, or maybe I’m missing out some new stuff?

Damian

Hi, Damian.
I’m not able to add my IP to an exception to see the front page.
I suppose Lookbook module just not installed.

Damian Lewandowicz 09 Oct 2017, 07:38

I edited your access rights, you should now be able to add your IP.

And how do I install the module? I don’t see it anywhere on my module list.

Damian

Marek 09 Oct 2017, 10:23

I also not able to edit modules settings

Damian Lewandowicz 09 Oct 2017, 10:32

Ahhh, it should be OK now :)

Marek 09 Oct 2017, 11:27

Could you please disable “Smart cache for JavaScript” in the “Advanced Parametern” > “Performance”

Damian Lewandowicz 09 Oct 2017, 11:34

Yep, I disabled it and now it works… :)

That’s one problem down. How can I install lookbook module now? :)

And one more thing - do you now why my category tree in sidebar shows subcategories for first category instead of list of 1st level categories?

Damian

Marek 09 Oct 2017, 11:43

1. Just go to modules and find the module and install.
2. Have you tried to configure that module?

Damian Lewandowicz 09 Oct 2017, 11:55

1. The problem is, I don’t see it anywhere :) Either I’m blind or update went wrong in that part :) You can take a look of course.

2. I did. It still behaves weird on homepage. The module is set on current category, but on home it behaves like the “current category” was the last visited or something like that. Plus that - whole tree, all categories are expanded by default.

The module works definitely wrong :(

Marek 09 Oct 2017, 12:00

1. I don’t have access to modules to check out, but you can download lookbook module from themeforest. It’s available in alysum archive

themes/prestashop-1.7.x/alysum-v.5.1.4.zip/dependencies/modules/pk_lookbook

2. I can’t help you with that, because it’s a native Prestashop module, and I can’t change its behavior.

Damian Lewandowicz 09 Oct 2017, 12:08

1. OK, I’ll try that.

2. I now it’s now the theme, but maybe you can suggest something what maybe wrong?

Marek 09 Oct 2017, 18:51

I have nothing to suggest, sorry.

Damian Lewandowicz 13 Oct 2017, 17:24

OK, I’ll try to figure it out.

One another question though. We talked couple of months ago about additional hooks in contact page. You said to did put them into theme - how can I use those additional hooks? What do I have to do?

Damian

Marek 13 Oct 2017, 21:42

Just try to transplant your module to that hooks. Hook names are the same like you asked me to add

Damian Lewandowicz 14 Oct 2017, 12:18

I can’t find name of those hooks - closed topics are no longer easily accessible from my account. Can you please remind me those names?

Marek 14 Oct 2017, 21:16

Strange, but I can’t find that hooks as well.
You can add hooks yourself. The file is:

/public_html/themes/alysum/modules/contactform/views/templates/widget/contactform.tpl

The hook string is:

{hook h='displayHook01'}
Damian Lewandowicz 16 Oct 2017, 09:24

But won’t the file be overwritten in the first next theme update?

Marek 16 Oct 2017, 11:57

Ok, here is the file with new hooks which already available in the Alysum theme.

Damian Lewandowicz 16 Oct 2017, 12:06

OK, I will let you know if that worked :)
