Ticket #11001 - After clearing cache in PrestaShop some settings disappear

After clearing cache in PrestaShop some settings disappear.
One of the result is that eg. images are not displaying any more.

It concerns the following theme: Alysum - Premium Prestashop 1.7 & 1.6 Theme

Have you tried to clear cache in Presta? Please try it.

Marek 06 Dec 2017, 15:11

All works fine as well after cleaning cache

Ziemowit Michno 08 Dec 2017, 08:05

It is not ok, where is the menu now? Menu disappeared! It was on the left side. See the screenshot. As I said before, after clearing cache some settings disappear.

Marek 08 Dec 2017, 11:03

This is your solution

Ziemowit Michno 08 Dec 2017, 12:06

It is not working properly.
1. Classic is chosen.
2. Menu on the left is visible.
3. I clear cache.
4. Menu on the left disappeared.
5. After clicking on Classic (even it is chosen as default) menu on the left comes back.
6. However on the footer before clearing cache the newsletter was turned off. Now it is visible. I need to turn the newsletter off every time after clearing cache.
Whatever I do after clearing cache I need to click on Classic. Even though not everything comes back as it was.
As a result - clearing cache doesn’t keep settings previously set up. Please follow my steps before you reply that everything works properly. I am attaching screenshots, step by step.

I the server details in your profile correct? I don’t see any changes when I edit files there

Ziemowit Michno 18 Dec 2017, 09:53

Yes, they are correct.

As for menu on the left, it seems not the theme issue, because the module is a native prestashop item.
As for footer issue the fix is following:
- open the file /modules/pk_themesettings/pk_themesettings.php
- find the line (around 560 line)

if (!$position) // if module is not in our hook

change the line to:

if (!$position && $hook != 'displayFooter') // if module is not in our hook

Ziemowit Michno 18 Dec 2017, 15:01

I think you should fix it because the problem will come back after each theme update.

Marek 18 Dec 2017, 15:02

The fix is already in the theme and will be available in the next update

Ziemowit Michno 09 Jan 2018, 13:09

The problem is not solved yet.
Regarding keeping settings. Clearing cache doesn’t keep settings previously set up. I explained it precisely step by step in the post on 08.12.20117. I attached 6 screenshots. You haven’t done anything with that till now. I even installed it on different version of Presta and still there are the same errors. Please reopen the ticket and fix the problem!!
