Ticket #11267 - Revolution Slider Error

Hi

I am a PS newbie and chose your Alysum for PS 1.7 complex model theme essentially among other good reasons for revolution slider

Not sure What I did to get there but any time I attempt to save any change to a revol slider I get an x Ajax Error !!! parsererror

Looking at Safari we get this

Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include.
This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.

To fix it you can:

  1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
  2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.

Thanks in advance to shed a bit of light on how I could get rid of that painfull pb.

Ideally I would love to be able to find revol slider with its example when I first opened it
Because I reinitiated it I can’t find the example anymore

But you can import necessary slider in the Theme Settings module > Demo Content tab

mahieux 14 Dec 2017, 23:17

mmm ok which demo then : Complex was it ?
and which hook should it be visible under ?
as any attempt to duplicate a slide generates the Ajax Error

Marek 14 Dec 2017, 23:21

1. You can check the name of slider what is equal to demo name here http://alysum.promokit.eu/selector/

2. Go to Theme Settings > Home page and see there which hook you want to use.

3. As for duplicating, I don’t know, I need to check that

mahieux 14 Dec 2017, 23:33

well actually any action on a slide delete as well generates the Ajax error

Marek 14 Dec 2017, 23:34

Ok, I’ll back to the issue tomorrow, today is too late

Marek 15 Dec 2017, 11:49

mahieux 18 Dec 2017, 12:20

Done

Marek 18 Dec 2017, 12:28

Can I reinstall the module?

mahieux 18 Dec 2017, 16:12

yes of course as you like , nothing done there for now

FYI ..\modules\pk_bannercarousel\translations\xxfr.php done and attached

Marek 19 Dec 2017, 13:07

it works fine now

mahieux 19 Dec 2017, 13:46

At least this seems to be a very good start (as I could see BO changed and in deed duplicate slide not generating an Ajax error any more)
What went wrong ?
as a general comment without revealing the ‘inner secrets of your kitchen’ it would be cool to have a simple statement of what was wrong and corrected to fix issues as opposed to ‘works fine now’ As it might lead some readers to self fixing in some cases (my 2cts worth of 30 yrs IT support ;-) thus giving you more time for other serious issues

Thanks
You may close this one for now

Actually, I have no idea what was wrong with the slider, but it sometimes happens.

Yes, you’re right, it’s a good idea, and I think we will do that in future.

Thank you for your suggestions :)
