Ticket #13064 - Popup newsletter emails collect?
Hi, I have activated the popup plugin you are providing. In this one the user can let its email address to be added to the newsletter but in my newsletter list I cannot find the emails that are collected via this popup but if I enter 2 times the same email, the popup notifies me the email is already registered so it should be stored somewhere but I cannot find where.. ?
Many thanks in advance!
Comments
Also where can I find the email (that the user will receive when putting its email address) content or edit it?
Hi, Nicolas.
Here is it https://alysum5.promokit.eu/promokit/documentation/#faq8
Hi Marek, Thanks but I already looked there and the emails are not appearing in the list, I only have the emails of customers who have subscribed to the newsletter in the account opening space strangely…
And about the email template?
All email templates you can find here: /themes/alysum/mails/
I’ll try to figure out what’s wrong with subscription as soon as possible
I just registered successfully http://take.ms/DtKRG and got confirmation email http://take.ms/cEhVT here is screenshot from your back office http://take.ms/29VFb
I see… I did not know the user had to click on the link in the email before that I could see it in the newsletter list… So now I also succeeded thanks. But is there any way to see the email collected even if the user has not clicked on the link in his email (because I believe a part of it will not do it)?
Also, as a user when I click on the link in the email after having filled the popup, I fall on a 500 error page (see screenshot) which is not the experience we want to provide, could you fix that?
Thx
1. As I can see, there is no such option. That is a native prestashop function, and you can use some third-party module if you don’t like it.
2. Please try now, it should be ok now
1. Ok ok I understand
2. I am still falling on the page 500 error when clicking on the link in the email to confirm my email to the newsletter list
This might help you : https://finemarketdistrict.com/en/module/pk_popup/verification?token=d3c882b39a3deb9497cc77c654952c99
This is the link for the email confirmation that I receive from the popup form and that send me to a 500 error page
I’m not able to connect to your server anymore. Please check out credentials in your profile
I deleted the double auth so you should be able to connect now
Do you have access to server error logs to see what’s wrong?
Yes you can access them here : https://logs.cluster026.hosting.ovh.net/finemarketdistrict.com/index.cgi
Username : alysumsupport
Password : Alysup2018
There are no any records in the error log, strange
It looks like your server blocks requests to that file. Take a look at correctly worked link on our demo server https://alysum5.promokit.eu/en/module/pk_popup/verification?token=d3c882b39a3deb9497cc77c654952c99
As you can see it returns a message, but your server returns 404 error. Please try to ask your hosting support, maybe they can help.
Please also make sure you have correctly defined files and folders permissions like described in the theme documentation
Hi Marek, sorry I just checked and it still does not work even after having put all the folders and files on chmod 777 like described in the doc (it was not the case before).
Have you asked your hosting support to help you with that?
What should I ask precisely (I do not have the knowledge to know myself)? Additionally, they do not really provide support besides minor things
Thanks for your help this is quite important for me
I have tried all possible solutions, but no success, the file is blocked by server and I can’t do nothing with that. Please ask your hosting support to help you. I have several customer with the same issue and every time it was solved on hosting side
Alright, thanks a lot Marek! Which file should I ask them to give access too (and what should I ask precisely)?
The file is /www/modules/pk_popup/controllers/front/verification.php
Hi Marek, my hosting finally replied to me and I can change the file permission myself. It was set on 664. Does it seem to be related to the problem for you? Thx, Nico
But it still return error 404 https://finemarketdistrict.com/en/module/pk_popup/verification?token=d3c882b39a3deb9497cc77c654952c99
It should return a message like in our demo: https://alysum5.promokit.eu/en/module/pk_popup/verification?token=d3c882b39a3deb9497cc77c654952c99
