Have you tried to find translation in your back office?
Read more about translation here http://alysum5.promokit.eu/promokit/documentation/#translation

Sylvain Duval 03 Apr 2019, 14:04

Yes, I already have translated lot of things.
But I can’t find the way to translate the specified expression.
Could you tell me where (precisely) I can do it ?

Sylvain Duval 05 Apr 2019, 14:51

Could you help me ?
I specified translation in a lot of fields, but some seem to be missing or not working.

Sylvain Duval 05 Apr 2019, 16:34

You’ll find attached some example of the translation I’ve made and the front office still displaying English version.

Marek 06 Apr 2019, 17:39

I’m not able to login to your back office to check out translation issue

Ce compte employé n'existe pas, ou le mot de passe est erroné.

I changed infos so you can connect now.

Have you tried to use search in your back office to find necessary works for translation.

I don’t understand what you’re asking.
As you can see in your screen print, French traduction is already there, but it is still displaying in English in the website (except for the 4th, I didn’t translated it, now it works fine).

I can’t find path like shop>theme>catalog or shop>theme>actions.

Marek 09 Apr 2019, 19:56

I don’t understand what is not clear. Here is “shop → theme → catalog” https://media.promokit.eu/screenshots/monosnap/scr_20190409_194339.png

If translation is not applied, try to add some changes to the word save and change it back. That is not a theme’s bug but prestashop “feature”

Sylvain Duval 10 Apr 2019, 15:55

I’ve check everything, all translation are in, but some don’t display.
We will buy your theme for other website, but if this traduction problem persists, it will be complicated, not a lot of people understand English in France…

Please, let me know how to solve this problem, even if I have to go on the FTP.

all translation are in, but some don't display.

Please let me know which exactly wordings are not translated? You can also try following trick, add some symbol to the translation, save it, then remove that symbol and save it again

Sylvain Duval 15 Apr 2019, 13:03

Hi,

Problem is still there, mostly in the checkout process.
I already sent you screen print but you’ll find new ones attached.

Marek 15 Apr 2019, 13:41

Yes, I see.
I have tried to translate one word and didn’t get success. So please fix folders and files permissions of your PrestaShop

Permissions for all files should be set to "664"
Permissions for all folders should be set to "755"
Sylvain Duval 15 Apr 2019, 13:54

You have access to the FTP, could you do that so you can then try to fixe the issue ?

Marek 15 Apr 2019, 18:00

But it’s not related to the theme.
It’s much easier to do through cPanel, but not through FTP, it will take much time

Sylvain Duval 16 Apr 2019, 09:53

Could you at least tell me which folders and files I have to change ?
Plus, you’ll find attached screen print of translation files. It seems that source language and targeted language are the same. Is that possible the translation issue come from that code issue ?

Marek 16 Apr 2019, 11:48

All folders and files should have correct permissions. We should fix this issue first, then move forward to translation

Sylvain Duval 17 Apr 2019, 10:44

I have change the permissions for a lot of files and folder, could you check if that’s OK, and tell me which folder or file don’t have the right permission.
If that’s ok, could you check why some translations are not working ?

Thanks

I spent much time on that and finally found out that is a prestashop issue http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/BOOM-3338

Try to upgrade your prestashop to latest version
