Ticket #15117 - Several issues
Hello,
First of all, congratulations for the theme, it’s awesome!
I have some problems, I detail them:
1- Error when updating. I save the purchase ID, but when I try to update it returns an error “Theme Updates Error: failed to get update.”
2- The pages of the categories (in all the “Presets”) show the home page. When I change in “Theme Settings” the option of “Category Page” to “Default”, the products of the category are seen, but at “giant” size, a single image occupies the whole screen. (attached screenshot reduced to 30%)
3- The “Cookies Law” module stops working (no notice of the use of cookies or the cookie acceptance button appears) This module is required by Law in Europe. It’s called “Aviso de Cookies”
4- The compliance module with the European Data Protection Law, also mandatory, also stops working. This module is called: “Protección de datos extendida (RGPD)”
Thanks in advance, I wait your notice.
Best regards,
Macarena

Hi, Macarena Sánchez García.
I need access to your server through FTP to check out the issues you have described
Hi,
I left all the access data in the Customer Information when registering, I write you here again:
Thanks!
This is private?
I edited, because i don’t know if all people can see…
Can you see my customer info?
how I send to you the access?
Please update all necessary fields in your profile https://support.promokit.eu/index.php?do=myprofile
Current credentials doesn’t let me to connect
I check, both access works. in Filezilla set Use Plain FTP (insecure) and it works
Could you access?
1. you have the latest theme version. Just ignore that message. If a new version will be available you will see that
2. Fixed. Go to Theme settings and assign a layout for category page
3. Because it was disabled in the Theme Settings
4. make sure the module is installed and enabled, it’s not a part of our theme
OK, the latest version, perfect.
2– See the screenshots. it is the same. I erased the cache and try in Opera, Firefox, chrome… When I select a layout like “lingerie” for “Category Page” I see the Home of Lingerie. When I select “default”, the “Category Page” show all products over maximized. Please see screenshots.
3– I have a specific módule for Cookies (not part of your theme) This módule works perfect in other themes, but with your them it do not work.
3– I have a specific módule for RGPD(not part of your theme) This módule works perfect in other themes, but with your them it do not work.
I need this módules by law, twice works before i install your theme, I know that aren´t part of ypur theme, the problem is ¿Why do not work with your theme? I had purchache both y I don’t understand why your theme make than modules don’t work.
¿Can you help me?
Please see screenshots.
2. But you have selected home page layout for category page. You have to create a layout specially for category page with category widgets
3 and 4. Try to disable Footer Builder in the Theme Settings → Footer
2. But you have selected home page layout for category page. You have to create a layout specially for category page with category widgets
Do I have to “create” a layout for the catalog page?
Is not it created in the theme?
I thought that such a complete subject would have this ready!
3 and 4. Try to disable Footer Builder in the Theme Settings → Footer
disabling the footer as you say, appears (finally) the Instagram module, which was “lost” But the modules still do not work.
I have also noticed that the registration of new clients does NOT work.
It allows to enter if the client exits previously but new ones can not be created. (This worked perfectly with the default fear of Prestashop)
I think there is some incompatibility between the subject and some module
Please give me the name of modules which doesn’t work
OK, i tell you, (you can see also in the first message):
The “Cookies Law” module it’s called “Aviso de Cookies”
The compliance module with the European Data Protection Law is called: “Protección de datos extendida (RGPD)”
Have you been able to find something?
Please tell me if you think this can be arranged, thanks
1. cookies module works now.
Modified file is /modules/idxcookies/idxcookies.php please keep a backup of that file
2. Where GDPR module should be shown?
1- GREAT!!! Thanks
2- The GDPR module must register the explicit authorization of the visitor so that we can store your personal data, including the email address.
It is displayed, requesting the confirmation “check” in all the sites where a user can leave your email or other personal information.
For example:
Newsletter form
Registration Form
Product availability notice
Contact Form
The module can be displayed in two ways, with a pop-up message or by adding the check box in the form.
The emergent message is preferable.
I attached screenshots.
If the check box is not checked, the registration of the form is not processed since a law obliges us to do so since May 2018.
It is mandatory throughout the European Union.
I have done all the necessary things to make it work, but no result. Please make sure the module is configured correctly
Hi!,
The module works well in the other theme that is installed on the site.
You can change the theme and check it.
In the configuration of the module only we only define the text to be displayed and the CMS page that has the legal text, has no more.
The site is unpublished and I’m not doing anything to avoid interfering with your work.
If you want to change the theme to the previous one so you can verify that the module works well.
If your theme is not compatible, what solution do we have?
Please give me a link to a page where it should appear
https://www.iribags.com/ if you try subscribe in the newsletter you can see
Hello,
Any news about the problem?
I have another question, to have an AMP version with the same appearance as the desktop version, is there a predefined layout?
I see that the aspect changes completely, but in the demo at https://alysum5.promokit.eu/lingerie/en/ that I see from my mobile, it looks exactly like the desktop version.
How do I make it look the same?
Thank you
Try to register, it seems works fine https://take.ms/eaf0B
AMP can’t have the same appearance as desktop. It was developed to have a specific design for mobile devices only. https://alysum5.promokit.eu/lingerie/en/ - there is no AMP enabled
I see that it works on the page https://www.lapielpiensa.es/autenticacion but not the registration in the newsletter
neither in the registry from the menu (this in particular does not work at all)
And the worst: The page of categories continues seeing to giant size.
This is turning out to be exhausting, we are losing a lot of time and effort, besides what you tell me about your demo that is without AMP I find disappointing, this was one of the main reasons why I chose this theme: how fantastic your theme was AMP on mobile
If thema can not work properly, I’ll ask you for a refund. It is a very big disappointment.
please look some categories pages
https://www.lapielpiensa.es/36-tratamiento-de-poros https://www.lapielpiensa.es/43-facial-cosmetica-natural https://www.lapielpiensa.es/42-maquillaje-natural or any other and tell me what you think
The problem comes from your module https://take.ms/ZY5Mg
Open that file and remove marked code
I have deleted those lines and the registration works from the menu but it does NOT work in the newsletter, it does NOT work in the contact form
and look at the category pages:
https://www.lapielpiensa.es/50-cleaners-exfoliants https://www.lapielpiensa.es/22-proteccion-solar https://www.lapielpiensa.es/53-bb-cream ALL category pages SEE BAD
Do you think I can publish a website like this?
Sorry, I think your Theme does not work well
In the original theme of prestashop EVERYTHING works well.
Because you are using our newsletter widget. Try to use original prestashop newsletter module instead
I can try using the native prestashop module, but I think that when you buy a theme, everything included should work. (All the money I paid works, does not it?)
And with the pages of the categories so the theme is not at all usable. It is useless.
How do you think we can make compatible our modules with any other module? It’s impossible.
That’s your module makes the category page unusable, and I gave you the solution
Well, I tried using the native prestashop module, this is what happens:
The legal notice appears but does NOT work, the newsletter registration occurs, accepts or does not accept the legal conditions. This should not happen, it is precisely what the law clearly states, the client MUST accept or otherwise their data can not be saved.
The penalties for breaking the law are very high, it is a very serious matter.
Summary this does not work
Excuse me, what is the solution you have given me?
From my point of view, if you develop for Prestashop, what you do must be compatible, if it is not compatible, it is NOT useful
Or using your theme limits the use of the rest of existing modules for Prestashop. The best thing that Prestashop has is the great assortment of modules that exist, if your thema can not be made compatible with the module I do not want it, it returns the money I paid and that’s it.
you have to ask envato (themeforest) about refund
Refund requested, I regret all the inconveniences, I hope you understand that being the theme well we can not use it.
We can not assume this incompatibility or other future ones with new modules that we may need.
We need a completely stable website and 100% compatible with the modules developed for Prestashop.
I appreciate your efforts but I think we have both wasted time.
That was suppose a serious upheaval since we have a delivery dates of the project that have been delayed by these problems.
You have a good day.
