Ticket #16390 - Faceted Search AMP and AMP Grid List

Hello Gents,

still have the issue with the faceted search: the category filter doesn’t work on AMP while the other filter like color, size, brand work correctly. Also the layout won’t changed: i selected 2 row but still remains just one. No way to let it change.

Thanks
Alessandro

First of all you have to fix all AMP errors you have. See the link https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=jzhfzlOYUhkORAUEPpXZ3A

By default AMP is valid and doesn’t has any errors

Alessandro Caruso 06 Dec 2019, 14:21

ok thanks i will check it

Hello Fred,
i have the same issue on Ticket #16344 in regards to layout buttons on pagebuilder with 1.7.6.2 - What do i have to change to adjust it? Thx

Alessandro Caruso 07 Dec 2019, 11:44

Hello,
to summarize after update, here are the issue still remain:
1) AMP Reassurance still there even if deactivated
2) AMP Faceted search not working on category filter
3) AMP Favorite menu/icon is missed on the my account menu

Rest I have been able to solve it myself.
Thanks

to add some comment that might help. The amazing filter developer wrote me that there are some errors in category page generate by the module favorite (probably this is the reason why filter is not working). Please check here the comment:

“We checked your category page.
Error was caused by module pk_favorites, that displays some data in product listing, and uses some non standard variables in template files.
We didn’t want to mess with code of that module, so we added some custom code here: /override/modules/amazzingfilter/amazzingfilter.php”

Thanks
Alessandro

AMP reassurance is fixed
AMP Filter works fine for me https://take.ms/JqUr3

AMP Favorite button will be added in the next update
I don’t see any problem with your filter, it just works with no errors for me https://take.ms/xTZvs

Alessandro Caruso 07 Dec 2019, 15:01

The filter is working now because the filter developer override the code but it seems favorite module contains errors.
In regards to the faceted search on AMP is working but not on category. If you filter by category nothing happens. It could be the issue with favorite module.

I need to see the error, but I can’t find it, could you please take a screenshot?

Alessandro Caruso 07 Dec 2019, 18:20

I have asked the module developer to send me a screenshot or to tell me where is the issue because the Amazzing filter didn’t work as well as the faceted search on AMP. Now they have override the module but problem still remain on AMP/Faceted search.
Anyway let’s ser what they send to me.
Thx

ok

Alessandro Caruso 09 Dec 2019, 09:55

Here what developer wrote me

“ what developer wrote:

“ Error was caused by calling a variable, that doesn’t exist in ajax request, particularly $customer.is_logged
As we mentioned in previous message, we added an override where this variable is defined. So now there is no error.
Override was added here: /override/modules/amazzingfilter/amazzingfilter.php
If you want to replicate that error, you can temporarily rename override file to /amazzingfilter_.php, after this go to category page, and try to apply any filter. When page is frozen, open console log and there will be error: https://prnt.sc/q7mb6q When you remove “_” from override name, there will be no error.”

The issue should be fixed

Alessandro Caruso 09 Dec 2019, 10:51

it seems still not working on AMP for category

Fred 09 Dec 2019, 10:56

That error which was fixed is not related to AMP.
What exactly wrong there? AMP Filter works fine for me https://take.ms/JqUr3

Alessandro Caruso 09 Dec 2019, 10:57

try to filter per category/subcategory, nothing happens while the other filter are working like color, size etc..

Fred 09 Dec 2019, 11:33

For me AMP filter works exactly the same as for desktop https://take.ms/7IIvW

Alessandro Caruso 09 Dec 2019, 11:38

that’s strange, it doesn’t work fort me at all with Safari, Firefox Chrome. I will double check with some other computer. Thx

Alessandro Caruso 09 Dec 2019, 14:56

sorry but it doesn’t really works. I’m wondering what you are using to see the results because i have tried (after cleaning all caches): Safari, Firefox, Chrome on one computer then iphone with 4 different browser (safari, chrome, firefox, ICal mobile) another computer and as well as an Ipad. In all of them AMP filter by category it doesn’t work. So what are you using to see the good result?
Thx

i understand where is the issue: try to filter by selecting category on the menu (ex: women) will not work

Fred 10 Dec 2019, 17:52

I see now, working on that…

Fred 11 Dec 2019, 16:55

it seems works fine now https://take.ms/oLE20

Alessandro Caruso 11 Dec 2019, 20:41

actually it seems not, same as before. So there should be something not working correctly in the module. Like the desktop version, if i select the main category, in the category filter i should see subcategory then the filter of them, no? Example: select WOMEN, i should see in the filter, clothes, accessories, shoes and by clicking on of them the subcategory like blouse, blazer, dresses and there i can filter (exactly the same as the desktop version). This is the reason why is not working, the hierarchy is not reported correctly.
Thanks
Alessandro

Fred 12 Dec 2019, 11:19

I have enabled Faceted Search module to compare it with AMP, please tale a look https://take.ms/WCAF9

The module is keep enabled now, you can disable it if you need
There is no issue

Alessandro Caruso 12 Dec 2019, 11:56

Hello Fred, i think i found the issue. Try to explain it again: if you select the category WOMEN you should see in the filter first the subcategory like Clothes, Shoes etc.. and then the subcategory blouse, cardigan, dresses etc… in the desktop version you can see the category tree module working for category but not in mobile while you see just the subcategory bluse, cardigan, dresses etc… This is the issue. It seems it shows the wrong module. As you can see there are 2 category block the first and the second, in the AMP you have the second which is useless if you select mother category lie WOMEN.
Check here https://prnt.sc/q9s5xq Thanks

Fred 16 Dec 2019, 17:09

That is a different thing and there is no any issue.
Yes, on the desktop you see the module Category Tree which is just doesn’t display in AMP. There are no modules from the left column displayed in AMP
