Ticket #16875 - AMP indexing on google

Hello,
We’ve found tha searching the name of our shop on google (pianetaffari) the first result is the amp (/mobile) version of the site.
We don’t want this because if the user visit the amp version on desktop, he cannot return on desktop version, even if he changes the url (maybe this is another issue involving cache)
These issue has to do with theme? if it isn’t what would be the cause?

Hi, Pianeta.
1. That is not an issue.
2. Google gives higher priority for AMP pages and better to use this possibility
3. Please check out AMP module settings, you can enable “Force loading” for desktop version of your site
4. You can add following tag to the file /themes/alysum/templates/mobile/_partials/head.tpl to prevent web crawlers from indexing

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Hi Fred,
thank you for your response, i will add that code but if i do so i will encounter some penalties on google indexing?

I don’t think so, but I can’t tell you for sure. You have to check that in your google account https://search.google.com/search-console/about
