Ticket #16983 - GDPR does not show

Hi guys,

The GDPR optin only shows for the newsletter. Can you please advise what to do that it shows also in the contact-form and also in the register form?

I have a fresh installed Prestashop 1.7.6.3 with new installed Vendor theme.

Thanks

Best regards

Nick

Hi, Nick.
Have you configured the GDPR module correctly?

Nick Specogna 09 Mar 2020, 20:17

Yes because it shows everything correct when I switch over to the classic theme. In the Venedor them it only shows in the newsletter in the footer.
But when I go to the contact-us form there is no optin showing. The same when I try to register.
I guess it is a problem of your templates used for both.

Hi, Nick.
Please fill out all necessary fields in your profile https://support.promokit.eu/index.php?do=myprofile to access to your back office

Hi Fred,

I managed to clear the problem in your /themes/venedor/modules/contactform/views/templates/widget/contactform.tpl template. Now it works fine there. So no need to fix this. I also added a IMHO better Whatsapp-Link. Feel free to use my code proposal in a future update.

Would be nice if you could do the correction in your /modules/pk_customlinks/pk_customlinks.tpl template to show the GDPR optin when the client chooses the Register tab. I guess it would be best to show it some lines above the register button.

I let you the PS-account and ftp-access infos in myprofile. It is still a development install so it will be delete and reinstalled when everything checked. That means I only ask you to let me know what you changed, so that I can redo it in the future new install. Thanks

Regards
Nick

Do you have enabled Opcache in your server configuration?
I just edit the file /modules/pk_customlinks/pk_customlinks.php but don’t see changes in the front page

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 09:34

yes it is set on.

Fred 11 Mar 2020, 10:00

Please disable it

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 10:11

yes it is set on. Sorry was duplicated this comment

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 10:13

by the way I found out that the opcache config in the php.ini were bad.
Now I used the recon in https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/884856-best-server-settings-for-prestashop-17-tested-in-production and restarted the server.
I guess it will be working now. Please try.

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 11:59

And now found an error in the recons by prestashop.com mentioned before. Now corrected. Should work.

Fred 11 Mar 2020, 12:00

Opcache is still enabled https://www.colortinta.com/test/i.php

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 12:03

I know but it should work either please try.
If not working I can still switch off
Thanks

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 12:04

I can now see some changes in the register tab

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 12:18

Strange seems to be casual. OK I now switched off the opcache.

Fred 11 Mar 2020, 12:55

Now it works, please check out the form

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 13:10

Looks great, but when I enter all data to register a new client and accept, it links to the standard registration form and asks again for the gdpr optin.

Feel free to create a new customer, remember I will reinstall everything, so please tell me what files to backup for further reinstall, thanks.

Nick Specogna 11 Mar 2020, 20:08

Another Error with gdpr module implementation, sorry Fred. Please don’t give up:

when you enter in the customer account in the Frontoffice, the GDPR-Personal Data Section looks strange. I guess the icon implementation should be corrected.

Thanks for all

Fred 12 Mar 2020, 18:20

Please test it out now

Nick Specogna 12 Mar 2020, 18:30

Everything working now. Thanks

Please tell me what files to backup for further reinstall or will you pack a new install.zip?

Fred 12 Mar 2020, 18:31

Keep a backup of this module /modules/pk_customlinks
