you don’t need to edit .xlf files. All translation available in the back office.
All English phrases you can find directly in the theme’s template files .tpl.
There is no bugs or issues all is correctly here

How can i translate the theme without using the BO
Is it not possible to add an xlf translation ?

Fred 20 Mar 2020, 10:54

Check out Prestashop official documentation http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS17/Translations

That question is not related to the theme.

I ser the theme comes with some translation files, could you share how you made this translation ?
As i cant find anything about xlf in the ps doc :(

Fred 20 Mar 2020, 18:49

I suppose you need this /themes/alysum/translations - this is a standard translation folder, I don’t understand why you can’t find it

Thomas Blauenfeldt 20 Mar 2020, 18:51

Yea i saw that folder but how do you generate the skeleton for a new language ?
Etc. How did you generate the de_DE folder ?

Fred 20 Mar 2020, 18:53

- We didn’t generate any files.
- All files has been generated automatically by prestashop.
- All official documentation about translation is here http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS17/Translations

- The question is not related to the theme at all

Thomas Blauenfeldt 20 Mar 2020, 19:13

The translation files is in your theme zip folder from codecanyon. Not generated by prestashop, did you make this files manually ?

Fred 20 Mar 2020, 19:14

No, I didn’t generate any translation files

Thomas Blauenfeldt 20 Mar 2020, 20:14

Where did the translation files in the zip folder then come from ?

Thomas Blauenfeldt 22 Mar 2020, 11:46

Its seams to be a bug in PS 1.7.6 that makes it not possible to export all strings that are not transaltet.
-It will be fixed in next ps release.

You can close this issue thanks
