You can try this solution : https://take.ms/dRDY0p

Chiara Todisco 28 Mar 2020, 23:52

I’m sorry but I don’t know how to make these types of changes. Would you be kind enough to do it for me?
Thanks

Fred 29 Mar 2020, 11:23

There is an option “Add noindex tag” in the latest theme version 5.4.1. Just enable it

Chiara Todisco 29 Mar 2020, 11:27

Thanks. How do I update? Will something change on my site?

Fred 29 Mar 2020, 11:32

Go to Theme Settings → “General” tab

Chiara Todisco 29 Mar 2020, 11:43

I read that backup is very important. How can I do it?

Fred 30 Mar 2020, 11:59

That is not related to the theme.
Please check this out https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/keeping-up-to-date/backup/

I activate the no index option. Do you think this option is harmful to the whole site? Because now google tends to use the mobile first technique for indexing. Google technicians replied to me this way. Could it be a better solution?

Hi Chiara, there are some inaccuracies in the code of your site that lead to problems in canonicalization.

Not being your site responsive and having chosen a site, it is complicated enough to manage in tagging.

First of all, your mobile page https://www.dedecouture.com/it/mobile has as canonical https://www.dedecouture.com which, if visited by mobile, for example by Googlebot smartphone, in turn makes a redirect 301 on https://www.dedecouture.com/it and then a 302 redirect on https://www.dedecouture.com/it/mobile.

The correct canonical on the mobile page should be the desktop version, or https://www.dedecouture.com/it/, without there being a redirect (at least not for GoogleBot).

Also in the desktop version there is no canonical rel itself or the rel media tag necessary to let Google know that there is an alternative mobile url. Here the information.

The canonical should always point to https://www.dedecouture.com/it/ while the media relates to https://www.dedecouture.com/it/mobile.

We added that option because some customers asked about that.

Thank you for detailed explanations, I’ll try to implement these requirements and back to you as soon as possible

Fred 17 Apr 2020, 18:40

Hi, Chiara.
I have added a bot detection function and now there is no redirection if bot is detected.
I also fixed AMP link now it’s with language suffix.
For the desktop I have added canonical link to to pages where it was missed

Thanks a lot! for assistance on this issue. Now everything looks ok like in the picture. The only question I have is: Why isn’t the metatitle present?

Fred 20 Apr 2020, 10:36

What meta title has to be shown there?

Chiara Todisco 20 Apr 2020, 16:47

Abbigliamento Vintage Online ed Accessori - for Italian language
Online Vintage Clothing and Accessories - for English language

Will this change only affect the search result for the Dedè Couture keyword?

Fred 20 Apr 2020, 21:26

Honestly, I have no idea. The theme make a request to prestashop and just display received result

Chiara Todisco 23 Apr 2020, 22:06

ok thanks
