Ticket #17641 - Different url in alternate link in blog pages causing duplicate content reports

In the blog module pages, when using SEO friendly URLs the alternate href link in header is set to the “ugly” module url with url parameters, so SEO tools report is as duplicate url because it’s the same content in two different urls, the “pretty” one and the “ugly” one.

For example for a url like https://xxxxxxx/es/blog/recetas-jamon , the alternate href tag is set to

<link rel=”alternate” href=”https://xxxxxxx/es/module/ph_simpleblog/module-ph_simpleblog-list?sb_category=recetas-jamon” hreflang=”es”>

Is there a way to make the blog module generate the same “pretty” urls for the alternate links ?

that is a good SEO aspect.
Is missing also the canonical url.
without it will be created a duplicated content and will be a SEO penalization by Google

i checked the original Module and the canonical is wrote in the html, so why not in Alysum version?

Please check out official module demo https://prestahomepreview.com/addons/ps17/en/blog/news/post-with-a-video-inside-it you will not find “alternate” link at all.

You can also can check another blog demo page https://iqit-commerce.com/ps17/demo1/en/blog/news/in-ac-fermentum-massa-amet where the link is the same.

So, I can only write to module developer
