Ticket #18417 - Google Analytics - Same web property ID is tracked twice & Non-standard implementation

Hi Fred,

Using Google Analytics Tag tool, I’ve discovered two issues with Google Analytics implementation through Alysum on our pages:

1. Same web property ID is tracked twice - because ga.js legacy library is used, more here https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/asyncMigrationExamples 2. Non-standard implementation - more info here: https://support.google.com/tagassistant/answer/3207128?ref_topic=2947092#nonstandard

Please find more report details in the attachments. What would you suggest to fix this?

Best Regards

1. I see only one Google Analytics ID - https://take.ms/8CvcT

2. There are no embedded Google Analytics solutions in the theme. You seems using some module to run GA. I’m not sure that is related to our theme

Hello Fred.

This issue still persist. It is probably related to the fact that old ga.js analytics library is used, see the description here https://support.google.com/tagassistant/answer/3207128?ref_topic=2947092#nonstandard

Also, I tired to deactive the Google Analytic plugin in DEV and only us recommended approach by Alysum documentation (link below) but double tagging occurred again. https://alysum5.promokit.eu/promokit/documentation/#faq

It seems that the code snipped might generated multiple time in one page and collects data twice.
