The problem caused by this file https://take.ms/RmOPV
That is neither our file nor prestashop original file. Some module you have recently installed put it there.
Try to rename/remove it.
That is not our problem
I have removed the file you mentioned, but I still see error 500: it happened imediately after I updated Alysum to 7.0.1 version!
I also removed class_index.php file, but the problem persists…
it could be a cache problem …. if you have already deleted or renamed that file that FRED told you
Delete the contents of the folder Var> cache> prod and dev (if it exists) quietly regenerates itself.
I have made what you suggested: I have deleted via FTP the contents of the folders you indicated but with no result.
Can you please use the FTP access I communicated to enter the site and discover the problem from inside?
Pease it’s very important…!
Best regards.
What theme version you had before update?
Never seen such problem before. I suppose the problem caused by child theme
Another problem I see.
You seem to have a mess of your previous Creative Elements module and the version provided with the theme. I would uninstall the module, upload module files from the theme’s archive and install it
Do you have a backup of your store?
About the child theme: I have deactivated it but the problem persists… As you know child theme only applies .tpl files overrides: deactivating the child should restore orignal behavoiur.
I have created the child theme following prestashop 1.7 documentation… (https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/themes/reference/template-inheritance/parent-child-feature/): if a child theme destroys the site it means that Alysum does not support a basic functionality of the CMS.
I believe that a conflict with Creative Elements is much more probable: but which module I have to uninstall, the one of the theme or Creative Elements?
Do you have a backup of your store?
Yes, I have it
Just restore, that is a fastest solution here
I have restored a backup of the site, and everything works again.
It remains the problem of the update: why I cannot update the theme without destroying whole site? Is it possible to verify incompatibilities before updating the theme?
We are testing every update a lot of times before release.
But every customer has his own configuration and sometime issues are happened. And we are here to help everyone
