Ticket #22616 - Retrieve the product color via url query in AMP

Dear Fred,

in the desktop version of the theme if I enter the following url:

https://smanique.com/fr/cinturini-apple-watch-serie-1-da-38mm-e-42mm/548-28469-marble-cinturino-in-resina-effetto-roccia-apple-watch-serie-1-da-38mm-e-42mm.html?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=3#/27-dimensione_cassa_38_42mm-38mm/530-colore_marble-onice_viola/539-taglia_unica-taglia_unica_regolabile

the product appears correctly reporting the currency and color shown in the url parameters.

While in AMP I was only able to send the currency through the url query paramenters, in fact if I open the following link:

https://smanique.com/de/mobile/product/532-hyperion-cinturino-loop-in-maglia-milanese-in-acciaio-magnetico-apple-watch-38mm-40mm-41mm-e-42mm-44mm-45mm?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=4#/146-dimensione_cassa_2-38mm/383-colore_hyperion-rosso/550-taglia_unica-taglia_unica

I have that the currency is right while the color is always the default one.

Is there a way to get the user to the product with the specific color via url query in AMP?

All this is needed to create the google shopping ads feed in which you should add the links that lead to the product in the correct currency and color that the user clicked.

A thousand thanks.

Hi, Serhiy.
Unfortunately, there is no such functionality in AMP. We have that in our TODO, but didn’t implement yet. I can’t say exactly when we could finish with that.

Ok, thank you Fred, you can close the ticket.
Have a nice day.

Thank you for understanding.
AMP is just an option, it’s like a lite store.

Of course, I understand, although I believe that by now the world of ecommerce has migrated to mobile devices as we too see most of the conversions from these. With this in mind, at least we are more interested in the AMP than the desktop version of the theme. Thanks again.
