Ticket #22926 - Website Outdated

Hello i just got this website, i see that they haven’t updated it since long time (they still use PHP version 7.2) which is going to be outdated very soon by our hosting provider.

I think it will be more complicated to figure it out through support, would you charge me to update the installation to the latest version?

Hi, juan cantu.
First of all you have to update your Prestashop to latest version
Then update the theme using update feature in the Theme Settings module.
Then you can update php up to 7.4 version.

I tried but i failed miserably everything crashed and all the front end that i had disappeared and i couldn’t enter the BO again i had to go for a backup.
You don’t do that service any chance? i can pay no problem

We currently don’t have time at all, the reason you can read at the RED banner in the top of page.
I recommend you to try update yourself and in case of some problems we will try to solve it.
1. Make a backup
2. Uninstall every Promokit module
3. make a manual update as described in the documentation https://alysum5.promokit.eu/promokit/documentation/#theme_update

4. Install promokit modules (+ Creative Elements & Revolution slider), only those you really need

Im actually having the issue probably because i cant stop debug mode without having a error 500 :(
