Ticket #8899 - cart not showing up with chrome

Hello,

I am writing becuase the cart of my shop doesn’t appear with google chrome (on windows 10) I have also tried from another pc but I just have a white page. I thought it could be a problem of the onepage checkout module I am using but, I have exactly the same problem if I disable the module and use the normal ps cart.
Do you have any idea of the reason?
I have heard that with the latest version 1.6.1.2 there is an error in the js of the cart for all the user who are note using the default bootstrap theme and it’s true: I can see the error (see this image) http://prntscr.com/96pw5u May be chrome is more strict about js error and block the cart? Do you think this could be the problem?
Regards
M

Hi. Do you mean when you click on the ADD TO CART you don’t see pop up cart block, but instead you get direct redirection to the checkout page? Right?
I’ve switched to the default theme and see the same behavior on your shop. So I don’t thin this is our theme issue. I suppose this is some Back-office configuration. Just remember what default settings you have changed before this bug appeared.

Hello.

Nope, I don’t mean that. when you click on “add to cart” the pop up cart doesn’t appear because I have disable it because it used to get blocked from many browsers which have the pop up blocked, this something one of your colleagues suggested me to do. so that’s normal and now when you click to add to cart il opens up directly the check out page.

This works on all the browser but google chrome, so when I add to cart one product from chrome (on windows 10) it opens up a a white page (see image attached). I thought it could be a problem of the onepage checkout module I am using but, I have exactly the same problem if I disable the module and use the normal ps cart.

I don’t think this is PS issue. I suppose this is 3rd party module issue. Try to disable all the PS cache, disable checkout module and check the issue.

In my Win10 Chrome everything works perfect. Also try in incognito mode, maybe it’s fault of some browser addons

Hello,

I have disabled the cache and the checkout module I am using and I still have the problem also without the module (see print screen), so it’s not a problem of the module. I have tried using the incognito mode and it works, so I have tried to disable all the addons one by one and the one which creates the problem is alexa which is a trustable addons created by amazon group.
Do you think it could be that javascript http://prntscr.com/96pw5u error that creates the conflict with alexa?
I would like to try to switch to the default bootstrap them to see if with bootstrap the conflict with alexa still exist but i am a bit scare to lose all my alysume customization if I switch to bootstrap. How should I proceed?

Here’s the safe way to switch to default-bootstrap theme.
Go to BO > Preferences > Themes. Press “Advanced Settings” and there choose directory “default-bootstrap” In this way you will not loose any of your customization.

thanks I have managed to switch to bootstrap and I have the same problem there just with chrom with the alexa extension. Since not many users have an alexa exstension, I will keept like this for the time being.
