Ticket #9483 - Images on website on sizes and product page image distorted / fuzzy
Hi, all the images on our website in now appearing in odd sizes.
Please see here: https://robertsonwineshop.co.za/ I’ve tried the usual things like regenerate thumbnails and clear cache, also tried various browsers.
Also, for a long time now we have been struggling to make the main image on the product page display without distortion / fuzziness.
I have made sure to upload a high quality image, for example this product:
https://robertsonwineshop.co.za/home/496-tanagra-cabernet-franc.html The image I uploaded was 1000px x 1000px high quality jpeg. When you click on it, it looks much better.
I’m really hoping to display a clear crisp image, like the quality I have uploaded.
Please help!
Kind Regards, Petrus

Hi Petrus.
What was the dimension of your original images what you uploaded to the shop? They should have the same dimension and be at least 800x800px (or another height)
Hi, we are about to update all the products images on our website.
For a test, just to make sure, I uploaded a product image:
https://robertsonwineshop.co.za/home/496-tanagra-cabernet-franc.html
The image I uploaded was 1000px x 1000px high quality jpeg… see files attached.
If you look at the product page, the image does not look crisp and sharp, only if you click on it, it is better….
It’s because you have too small dimension defined in your back office for “Large” images
Hi, what size sould it be? I have now tried larger, 500px x 500px but same results on the product page’s main image… I have initially set the images according to the instructions for square (proportions 1:1) images.
See here: https://robertsonwineshop.co.za/home/496-tanagra-cabernet-franc.html
The other problem of images being different sizes is also still happening. See photograph attached. Else also see homepage.
Kind Regards, Petrus
You should regenerate images every time you changed the settings. Here is our recommendations http://alysum4.promokit.eu/documentation/#!/configuring_images
Finally succeeded, I had so much problems regenerating images with the hosting company we use… Thank you!
Hi.
I had so much problems regenerating images with the hosting company we use… Yes it’s bad when some specific hoster makes some stupid limitations for features that most hosters is enable by default.
