Ticket #9793 - Invoices calculates incorrect Price

Hi Alex

have a bit of a critical issue here with the invoices generated from system, Let me explain the problem.

The system generates everything ok and adds up everything all through the shopping cart BUT when the final invoice PDF is created the total price is incorrect. The system does not add up correctly (the prices of products ) so final figure is wrong. But VAT seems to be ok. Numbers in cart are just fine it is just the PDF

This is quite urgent as client is now selling first products but invoices are wrong! Pls see attached.

Thanks

Hi.
We are using default PS invoices so this is not our theme fault. Please try to find the solution with the PS forum. For example here is related topic https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/398872-inaccurate-credit-slip-in-16011/

No real help that ….. I am sure I am not the only one with this issue…. will try and search forums!

Hi Yan.
Could you please attach pdf invoice to your comment?

Yannis 20 Jul 2016, 20:03

Hi Marek

for sure ..here is the invoice explained.

Like mentioned before…price in shopping cart is fine it is just the pdf generated that does not sum up the 2 products correctly. However the Total VAT for 2 products on PDF is correct, which is strange!

Thanks

To make sure the issue is coming from Venedor theme, please switch to default prestashop theme and check the issue there

Hello Marek

Thanks for quick response, but the site is LIVE will this affect any issues on LIVE version, as the template is configured now?

http://www.espaciodomestico.com

Thanks again

Marek 20 Jul 2016, 20:54

There are no problems with switching the theme usually. But if you want to be 100% safe, you can make a copy of your website just for test

Yannis 20 Jul 2016, 21:33

Ok so does this just change certain files used by system & templates but I presume not the appearance, General settings (shipping costs, products, categories etc) / translations …? Is this correct?

So an ftp back up would be the safe idea? As I said the SITE US LIVE and I just want to make SURE NOTHING MAJOR IS INTERRUPTED.

Thanks

Yes, it’s a good idea to make a backup. You need to backup files and database

Good Morning Marek

Quick question

Can I run the same installation in a sub folder i.e. copy the site and place it under www.espaciodomestico.com/subfolder/ and run the test here? Whilst still maintaining the main installation and live site under www.espaciodomestico.com. so I would be running 2 sites at the same time….

Also if this issue has NOT occurred with other users could it is most likely be that this is a corrupt file with Venedor installation especially if I am running with the Venedor directory? If so can we not just try updating the PDF Invoice Template?

Thanks

Marek 21 Jul 2016, 09:51

Yes, you can ran your test shop in any subfolder.
I see such issue with invoices first time, I suppose it’s not a Venedor issue. But we should check it out on the test shop

Yan, also please read this documentation please http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Invoices
Try to enable/disable this option http://prntscr.com/bvldc5
Maybe it will help

Hello Guys

I have just notice that this issue is not just an issue with the PDF (Invoice Slip,,,) it is an issue with the TOTAL CALCULATION of my BACK END. Front end works fine….. See attached but the figure on my dashboard is also WRONG! And this might be why the Invoice slip is wrong.

So this to me means there something wrong that miscalculates my total Sales on my BACK END. (Vat is ok….this is calculated correctly….)

What can this be?

Marek 21 Jul 2016, 20:51

If the issue is in your back end, you should apply to prestashop support
