Ticket #24664 - The customized category description does not display correctly on the page
Hello,
I encounter a problem with the Promokit widget : Category description
As you can see on the IMAGE 1, I put my category description at the end of my category page.
I edited the description of one of my pages with Elementor to check if it displays correctly on the category page.
The IMAGE 2 shows what’s inside the description.
However, the custom description appears like this (IMAGE 3) on the category page.
Can’t I use the Creative Elements widgets for the description of my category pages? Should I only put text in it?
Thank you in advance,
Andréa SAVIGNAC

Hi, Quentin BENCHETRIT.
Please fill out all necessary fields in your profile https://support.promokit.eu/myprofile to access to your Back-office to let me see your configuration
Hello,
Sorry for the oversight.
I have just completed the access information to our back office.
Thank you in advance for your help.
For some reason I can’t open the page https://take.ms/Tscpn
Hello,
The issue is normally fixed.
You should be able to open the page.
Sorry for the delay and thank you.
Yes, now it works.
I need access via FTP to check out theme files. Or you can try to update the theme to 8.1.5
We updated the theme to 8.1.5 but still no changes.
We created an access via FTP for you, I should point out that this is directly a production environment.
You can use this page to check if it works, the custom description is at the end of the page : https://www.my-medical.fr/1857-grand-public
Thank you.
Can you please check FTP credentials? Because I can’t connect
I have tried FTP/SFTP, secure/insecure
Hello,
Sorry for my late reply, we changed the password, it should work now.
Thank you.
Sorry for the delay. This is untypical issue. Need additional time on that
Hi, Quentin.
Looks like it’s the problem of one Elementor instance is loaded inside another one.
I have tried to switch to native category page layout and everything works fine.
We will continue investigating that, but for now the only solution is to switch to native layout
Hello,
Is it possible to edit the native layout?
Thank you
Yes, it’s possible, but need to edit template code, that’s why Page Builder has been added to the theme
If I understand correctly, the fact that I hook the “DisplayCategoryPageBuilder” will bring the same problem as before, the only way that it works is to stay with the native layout.
Let’s say I only put text in the category descriptions, and I insert my custom content inside the product grid just like the Promokit templates (IMAGE 4). How can I do that?

We have special module Promokit Extended Product, it should be enabled. Then go to any product, scroll down and see additional settings where you can upload your image and define size
It works, thank you very much for the assistance! Quick question, do you have any idea why is our home page very slow to load? We’ve tried everything to optimize it but still no change, I was wondering if we’ve done something wrong with the configuration between Creative Elements and the Promokit Template.
We also encountered some issues with the navigation menu and are having trouble resolving them (IMAGE 5), if you can help us with these 2 points, that would be great.
Thank you again!

Yes, I see. It loads very slow.
Our modules are optimised as much as possible and as you can see in our demo everything works fast. We don’t use any extra cache solutions, only enabled Prestashop cache.
I have tried to enable profiles to see a reason of the issue, but it doesn’t work in front page (only admin). Can you consider prestashop to the latest version where profiler is working fine? That will let us know what’s wrong.
What do you mean by “enabling profiles”? Is it the debug mode?
PrestaShop itself comes with a profiler.
You can enable it by setting define(’_PS_DEBUG_PROFILING_’, true); in defines_custom.inc.php.
Read more about optimization here https://medium.com/@lmeyer./optimize-prestashop-performance-again-798166ac5515
Hello,
I am going to open another ticket for the website slowness, in order to separate the 2 issues.
In the meantime, have you found a possible solution for the custom description inside a custom category page?
Not yet. Creative Elements Pro version has been recently updated, and we hope developers will provide us an update of “in-stock” module version too
