Ticket #24710 - Replace creative elemet with page builder on prestashop 1.7.8.9
Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to remove the Creative element and use the pagbuilder as in previous versions of the theme.
Does the pagebuilder work with the prestashop version 1.7.8.9 ?
Thank you
Comments
I’m not sure that’s possible.
The only way is to install Alysum version 5.x which is the last with Page Builder.
Can you say what’s wrong with Creative Elements?
Below are the related problems with creative element (premium license)
1 - It is not possible to create menus with submenus of type Megamenu (as it was possible to do with page builder)
2) The brand carousel doesn’t work. The brand module only works with the Grid setting.
3) The site header logo doesn’t load properly. The logo with loop loading appears in the front end. Furthermore, the logo is not displayed in the order documents (it is visible with the native template instead)
4) The structure created with Creative Element is heavy and the loading pages require long loading times, compromising the SEO positioning. This is why you need to use the AMP framework on mobile.
5) To use some essential functions it is necessary to purchase the Creative Element license as the basic version offers insufficient functions, therefore an extra cost of € 100 must be calculated in addition to the template.
1. You can create even more complicated layouts in Creative Elements and assign it to menu item
2. Please make sure you have configured carousel correctly. I assume you just don’t have enough items to enable carousel
3. Please check out logo widget settings, we never had any problems with logo.
4. Yes, the markup is more complicated, but we don’t experience any performance issues with that, for example in our demo.
5. You don’t have to purchase the license. Everything that you can see in our demo has been built with the version of CE you have. Moreover we developed over 50 widgets special for our theme and added over 600 ready to use templates

Unfortunately no. It is possible to create only menus with Main category - Subcategory. I need to create menus with master category - main category - subcategory. However, I cannot create a 3-level category tree and not 2 for issues related to the synchronization of the catalog with the management system.

Example. I want to create a carousel slider with brand page, there are around 30 items. It worked for a short while. Then it stopped working.

I have never had a problem with the logo in 20 years either. Now I have it. How to solve ?

Maybe it’s perfect for a site that’s not as articulated as a blog or showcase site. For an e-commerce with thousands of products and pages maybe not.

In addition I have Revolution Slider which has not stopped working.
Suddenly when I run them it gives me the error : " Slider Revolution encountered the following error: sliders - Error: Notice: Undefined variable: addons”
We have not yet found a solution to all these problems.

I uninstalled the module. I reinstalled the module. But now I can’t reactivate the product as it tells me that the license code is invalid.

You don’t need to activate Revolution slider. It works out of the box.
The license is necessary if you need extra content created by module developers
