Ticket #25333 - Import Issues!

The instructions in your documentation don’t match the default Classic prestashop theme. Your documentation says

“Log into your Prestashop Back-Office and go to “Design” → “Theme & Logo”.

When I log in I see
Design >
- Customization
- Theme modules
- Themes catalog

I click Customization and I see Theme library > Import theme:
- Import from computer
- Import from web
- Import from FTP.

If I select Import from computer I’m able to browse to the alysum-v.8.3.1.zip file. When I attempt to Import this file I get the following error:

Please select correct theme’s import source.

Any assistance is appreciated.

I manually added the alysum-v.8.3.1.zip file to the /themes folder, selected Import from FTP from the Theme library and was able to import the Prestashop Elementor Theme + AMP. If I attempt to click Use I get a denied icon preventing me from clicking or enabling the theme.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Website URL: thestorefor.com.

If I enable Debug mode I'm seeing the following error:

Error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2097152 bytes)

Symfony\Component\ErrorHandler\Error\
OutOfMemoryError
in /var/www/vhosts/thestorefor.com/httpdocs/vendor/symfony/symfony/src/Symfony/Component/DependencyInjection/ContainerBuilder.php (line 1571)

I changed this from 256 to 2048 and now I get 500 Internal Server Error and am unable to access the dashboard.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi, Marvin.
As I can see you have not enough memory on your server. According to the Prestashop documentation you need at least 256Mb, please check that
Please fill out all necessary fields in your profile https://support.promokit.eu/myprofile to access to your Back-office and FTP Server to let me check what else could be wrong there

Ticket Updated. Being new to PrestaShop I can't figure out how to log in to the admin dashboard due to the debug warnings preventing the admin login from appearing. If that makes sense.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Something definitely wrong with your prestashop installation. There are kernel errors, that might be hosting/server configuration issue. Please make sure your server meets prestashop requirements https://devdocs.prestashop-project.org/8/basics/installation/system-requirements/

Consider to reinstall it from scratch

Marvin Cummings 23 Feb 2024, 21:56

In the process of performing a re-install of PrestaShop. Stand by!

Fred 23 Feb 2024, 22:57

Have you tried to install the theme there?

Marvin Cummings 23 Feb 2024, 23:01

No, hoping you'd try. I can upload the alysum-v.8.3.1.zip file to the /themes folder if needed.

Marvin Cummings 23 Feb 2024, 23:10

I moved the zipped file to the /themes folder. If I go to Design > Customization > Import from FTP then I can see the file to select.

you have to increase memory limit at least to 256Mb accordingly to the Prestashop requirements → https://devdocs.prestashop-project.org/8/basics/installation/system-requirements/. You currently have 128Mb → https://take.ms/t0DH7
