Ticket #25353 - Query on Filtered URLs Handling in AMP Version of the Site
Hello Fred,
I am reaching out to discuss a challenge I am facing with the AMP version of my website, specifically regarding the handling of filtered URLs.
On the non-AMP version of my site, I have implemented a menu created through filtered pages, allowing users to modify filters to find their ideal product. However, I noticed that the filtered URLs work differently on the AMP version of the site. Specifically, the URL parameters used for filtering are not retained in the AMP version.
For example:
Non-AMP link: https://www.alarmemaison.com/26-alarme-sans-fil-par-prix?q=Prix-%E2%82%AC-128-25 AMP link: https://www.alarmemaison.com/mobile/category/26-alarme-sans-fil-par-prix The AMP version seems to “truncate” or omit the query parameters from the URL, which impacts the functionality of my menu and the user’s ability to filter products as they can on the non-AMP site.
Could you please provide some insight into why this behavior occurs? Is it related to SEO considerations, Google AMP guidelines, or perhaps a limitation of the current module setup?
Most importantly, is there a way to maintain the same logic of category by filtered page links in the AMP version, as it exists on the non-AMP version of my site?
Thank you for your help
Cédric

Yes, there is just no such option in AMP module. It requires additional development to get it implemented.
Oh ok, i think it will be too complicated for me to develop it.
Cédric
yes, it will take a few days of development to add this feature.
I'll add it to our TODO, but can't promise fast solution
Thank you that's nice.
I think that’s what the big e-commerce companies do. A large category with the ability to filter by different parameters. As a result, in the menu, it is ultimately only filtered links.
Keep me informed.
Cédric
Yes, we know. This option is available in Faceted Search module. Need to make it work in AMP as well
ok,I'm waiting for your return
