Ticket #25774 - Theme activation not possible
Hi,
I upgraded my version of Prestashop from 1.7 to 8.1. I upgraded all the modules and deleted the old Alysum version modules.
Then I installed the new version of Alysum with all the new modules.
When I activate the ‘Promokit AMP’ I get this error:
Fatal error: Uncaught PrestaShop\PrestaShop\Core\Exception\ContainerNotFoundException: Kernel Container is not available in /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/src/Adapter/ContainerFinder.php:77 Stack trace: #0 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/module/Module.php(1674): PrestaShop\PrestaShop\Adapter\ContainerFinder->getContainer() #1 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/module/Module.php(1663): ModuleCore::getModuleRepository() #2 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/Hook.php(878): ModuleCore::getNativeModuleList() #3 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/Dispatcher.php(606): HookCore::exec() #4 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/Dispatcher.php(243): DispatcherCore->loadRoutes() #5 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/classes/Dispatcher.php(201): DispatcherCore->__construct() #6 /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/index.php(28): DispatcherCore::getInstance() #7 {main} thrown in /home/u171475p186171/domains/pimstrameubelen.nl/public_html/src/Adapter/ContainerFinder.php on line 77
When I disable it I get this error:
"Theme Settings" module error. Make sure the module is installed, enabled, and hooked on "displayHeader" hook.
How can I fix this?
Thanks in forward :)
Comments
I switched back to a previous backup of the shop to start the proccess over again. The thing that happened is I want to upgrade from Prestashop 1.7 to 8.1 and Alysum 5.3.9 to the newest version. How can I do this as smooth as possible without losing my theme settings etc?
Hi Patrick.
That's not so easy. The version 5.3.9 was released 5 years ago and since that time almost every file was rewritten from scratch.
There is no even special instructions to update from v.5.
I would try to start from Theme Settings module update, because that's the core of the theme. After the module update the theme.
There other module one by one.
Hi Fred, thanks for the response.
I made a clean installation of prestashop on a subdomain and installed the template.
After cleaning all the cache + browser cache this page appears:
https://nieuw.pimstrameubelen.nl/
How can I solve this?
Strange, looks like compare module is broken (not copied properly) you can either try to upload original module version downloaded from themeforest with the theme or provide me access to your back office and FTP to do that for you
