Ticket #25881 - Serious performance problem with Alysum theme

We’re facing serious performance problems with Alysum theme. We’ve made our site using included Creative Elements Page Builder (included with the theme). But now, every page load in our site is delayed about 10 seconds.

We’ve made as much optimizations as possible without any result. After deactivate some modules, we find out the speed problem is related to Creative Elements Page Builder module. It cause very serious speed problems.

Investigating about this, we found there is a new 2.11 version with cache and speed optimizations, but Alysum theme’s included version is still 2.5. Is there any possibility to get an update for Creative Elements Page Builder, or any way to increase load speed for pages created using this module? It’ very important for us because navigation is really very poor in our site because low spped. We’ve invested a lot of time and money creating all contents, and we NEED to solved this problem asap. Hi, Dinamic Comunicación.
You had disabled cache in your back office. I just enabled it and everything is working much faster now

We had been making a lot of tests trying to make our site faster, maybe the cache was disabled for this reason. Anyway, with all cache and optimizations enabled, you can see the load of the site is still very slow (about TTFB 4s and FCP 4.8s in every page). It's a very poor performance, we need to increase speed to load the page in maximum 2s.

Your website is not available anymore.
But please check out our demo page, there is no performance issue, and we don't use any specific extra cache solution, only prestashop configuration.
To find out what's wrong there just enable Profiler in your back office to see which module consume much resources

Our site has been moved. Development site is now at https://axonovod7.sg-host.com/

I used profiler for debugging and watch speed load times. I found the problem is at DisplayFooterBuilder hook. It takes almost 3 seconds to be processed. It's too much time. The only module hooked in DisplayFooterBuilder is Creative Elements, so I assume the problem is with this module (see attached files).

How can I speed up the page loading?

I'll give you more information. The problem is (I think) with "links" block (from Creative Elements). I have 2 of those blocks in the footer template. If I delete those blocks, page speed improves a lot…

That's interesting. It seems the widget that is hooked there don't use cache. Can you tell me which exactly widget was there?

Yes, sure.

The site slows down when generating DisplayFooterBuilder hook. In this hook the only module registered is Creative Elements.

At this point Creative Elements is loading a template from "everywhere content" section, named "Footer general". If you edit this template, there are three "Links" blocks (see attached file). Those blocks are using as "Widget Content" the contents from a Prestashop module named ps_linklist.

This module (ps_linklist) has some blocks containing in every one a list of links for every link block. At some point, when connecting both modules (ps_linklist & Creative Elements), there is a problem and the system freezes for some seconds and causes the performance problem, as far as I could see.

As I can see cache is enabled for that widget. So wee need deeper investigation.
But you can use another widget instead, for example Icon List
